This adds possibility. The brick and mortar presence of RE/MAX with new tech.

what does it mean for the franchisees? how will that work… will they fold into the public corp structure and the agents in their respective independently owned brokerage become agents in their down line?

Excited for this! … IMO, all existing models will eventually head this way to stay competitive and drive efficiencies in the tech + A.I. future

The good thing is that The announcement explicitly stated that: • RE/MAX will continue to operate as the franchise brand. • Real will continue to operate as the owned-brokerage brand. This is a common strategy (similar to how Gap Inc. owns Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic). They want to capture different types of agents: those who want the traditional franchise office feel (RE/MAX) and those who want a 100% digital, cloud-based experience (Real). Remember: They need you to keep using that balloon logo to make the deal profitable. This should be Great for for a lot of reasons  ☀️🌵 This merger is a "best-of-both-worlds" scenario that solves the biggest weakness of each company. • RE/MAX's Weakness: Was perceived by some as "old school" or tech-lagging. • Real's Weakness: Didn't have the 50-year global name recognition or the massive office network. • Your Benefit: You get to keep the RE/MAX Balloon (the world's most recognized real estate logo) but power your business with a Cloud-Based engine. You aren't just a "traditional agent" anymore; you're a tech-enabled global consultant ☀️🌵 You Get "Luxury-Level" Tech (reZEN) Previously, the technological gap between high-fee brokerages like Compass and traditional franchises was wide. • The Benefit: You gain access to reZEN, Real’s proprietary AI-powered platform. • Daily Impact: You will be able to manage your entire business—from document uploads and commission tracking to generating a CDA (Commission Disbursement Authorization) on-demand—directly from a mobile app. This eliminates hours of administrative "back-and-forth" with your office ☀️🌵 Recruitment Pressure For years, Compass lured agents away from traditional firms like RE/MAX by offering better tech. • Now that RE/MAX agents are getting a massive tech injection via Real, the "tech gap" that Compass used for recruiting is closing.

I didn’t renew my franchise and opened up the state of Indiana for REAL almost 5 years ago and love it. Awesome people at both companies and now seamless backend operations and systems.

It sure is easy to be in reaction so I’m going to listen and be open minded.

Real Agent here. Was one of 5 that helped open Canada for Real in 2021. :) Remax Agents are some of the best in the biz. Combine that skill and knowledge with the technology and focus Real has for making agents lives better, and I believe a lot of wealth will be created in the near future for Agents at Real Remax Group! :)

What does this mean for Remax agents?

Excited for this! I moved to REAL after a 30+ years career with a legacy brand a little over a year ago. If you'd like a clear, no gatekeeping discussion about what we are and how we serve agents and clients from a boots on the ground agent, feel free to DM me and we can have a transparent conversation. No ReMax agent friend of mine (new or to come!) needs to feel anxious and in the dark about this. :)

I am excited for the already great improvements that have gone on in our Commercial Division and look forward to more strength for REMAX Commercial!!!

I am heartbroken. 💔

Real recognized the value of acquiring the brand that perennially has the highest performing agents in the industry. Combining that with some new ideas that Real offers should be extremely beneficial to Remax. Real agents will benefit by expanding their circle with highest performing agents in the industry. A high tide raises all boats. Most likely, as with Compass and its multiple brands Remax will get all the benefits while still having very high performing agents. Win win for all. Looking forward to learning more about Real’s benefits while retaining everything that has made REMAX great. A proud REMAX agent!

For REAL?

In reality, what 'technology" does REAL have that REMAX didn't currently have? Could you help me understand this, preferably if you are in a NON-Disclosure State and have a single MLS in your local market? I can see how it may benefit areas with two or three MLSs, but if you are in a market with a single MLS and non-disclosure, help me understand better.
